fatty liver; usually the liver of overfed goose, hence: pat de foie gras, pat made from goose liver. However, "foie gras" generally stands for "pat de foie gras" as it is the most common way to use it.

a simultaneous occurrence of delusions in two closely related people, often said of an unsuitable romance.
